Selling on e-foil.mu

Seller rules

Eight rules, all in plain language. They exist for one reason: buyers trust this marketplace because every listing is real, honest and verified — and that trust is what sells your board. Break the rules and your listing comes down; follow them and we do the selling with you.

  1. 01

    Disclose the condition honestly

State every defect, repair, crack, water ingress and battery issue you know about. "Good" means good — if the buyer discovers an undisclosed fault, the match falls apart and your listing gets removed. Accurate condition disclosure is the single rule that keeps this marketplace worth using.

  2. 02

Real photos of the actual board

Photos must show the exact item you are selling — not stock images, not manufacturer renders, not "a similar one". Include close-ups of any damage. Our photo guide shows the shots buyers expect.

  3. 03

    One listing per item

Each physical item gets exactly one listing. Selling a board and a spare battery? Bundle them in one listing or contact us about splitting. Duplicate listings are removed.

  4. 04

No stolen goods — proof of ownership on request

You must be the legal owner or explicitly authorised to sell. We may ask for proof of ownership (purchase invoice, serial number registration) at any time, and we pass serial numbers to buyers on request. Listings we cannot verify are rejected.

  5. 05

    Disclose battery shipping restrictions

Lithium eFoil batteries are dangerous goods. If your item includes batteries, you must state in the listing how they can (or cannot) be shipped from your country — pickup only, ground freight only, certified DG carrier, etc. Surprising a buyer with "battery can't ship" after a match wastes everyone's time.

  6. 06

Respond to relayed buyer messages within 48 hours

We relay questions from serious buyers to your email. Reply within 48 hours — even a short "need a few days" keeps the match alive. Listings whose sellers repeatedly go silent are archived.

  7. 07

No off-platform contact swapping before a match is confirmed

Do not put your phone number, email or social handles in the listing text or photos, and do not ask buyers for theirs through the relay. This protects both sides: it is how we keep scammers away from you, and how buyers know every listing has a real, verified seller behind it. Once we confirm a match, we introduce you directly.

  8. 08

We may edit or reject listings

We review every listing before it goes live and may fix typos, restructure descriptions, adjust categories or reject listings that don't meet these rules or that we simply can't verify. Significant edits are flagged to you by email. Our decision on publication is final.
